6a00d83451c5ac69e200e5527e4c238833-800wi Ok, this is what happens when you give a man free reign to decorate....

Yes folks that's an empty kitty litter bucket with a larger than life picture of a tabby holding its breath....Nice!  I saw this bucket kicking around for a while and knew my handy dad was up to no good.    After all of the rain we have been getting the clothespins were getting wet and subsequently mouldy.  Naturally Dad had to rectify this problem.  Mission accomplished.  This little gem comes equipped with a tight seal to prevent rain entering as well as a secure hold to a lovely wood platform (could it be teak?) attached securely to the house.  He should start selling these on Etsy, whatta ya think?  For anyone that knows my Dad, this is so Jim.

Seriously though, this is a great way to recycle and it really does keep the rain out.  With 6 solid weeks of rain and not a drop inside, this thing delivers.  I have to add this to my growing list of various ways our family is going to great lengths to reduce, reuse and recycle and ranks right up there with my husband sifting dirt.  I am sure nobody else thought of this one before.

Thanks Dad, you knew I would really and truly appreciate the use of something that would normally be tossed in the garbage.  Martha's got nothing on you.
